Somos is proposed as a mixed‐use, mixed‐income senior community with 70 one‐bedroom apartments,
leasing office, amenity spaces to support residents, and a commercial space to promote local business
incubation. Somos means “we are”. “We are” strong, determined, creative, Hispanic, Native, Asian, Black, White, Immigrant, community, together. Somos signifies the cultural richness and ethnic diversity present in the International District and valued throughout our city and our state. We envision Somos as providing the housing and catalytic investment desired by the residents in this diverse neighborhood.
